DMEC is a chapter organization that provides aeducational resources "in the areas of disability, absence, health, and productivity."
They host conferences and meetings, and have an excellent publications area with materials on topics including return-to-work programs and the interactive process.

Disability Rights Education
& Defense Fund

DREDF has been at the forefront of the disability rights movement, working directly on the development of key disability legislation, including the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. They provide training and advocacy for people with disabilities and their families on topics ranging from employment, access to health care, transportation, and medical ethics.

International Forum on
Disability Management

Sheduled for September 10–12, 2012 in London, England, this event will carry on the work just achieved at the IFDM 2010 conference in Los Angeles. "The vision for the IFDM is to gather representatives & stakeholders in disability management from all over the world, to assemble global perspectives on consensus-based best practices, cutting-edge research and successful disability management policies and programs.

Job Accommodation Network

JAN is a service of the U.S. Department of Labor whose mission is "to facilitate the employment of workers with disabilities by providing employers, people with disabilities, their family members and other interested parties with information on job accommodations, entrepreneurship, and related subjects." The site includes excellent accommodations examples by disability.

National Organization
on Disability

NOD is a top-level advocacy and research organization based in Washington D.C. Their mission is "to expand the participation and contribution of America’s men, women and children with disabilities in all aspects of life. By raising disability awareness through programs and information, together we can work toward closing the 'participation gaps.'"

ODEP's mission is to "ensure that people with disabilities are fully integrated into the 21st Century workforce." Their web site is extremely information rich for employers, workers, and youth with disabilities, and operate a number of programs including JAN (above) and Employers Working with ODEP for Workers with Disabilities.

Project Hired

Project Hired, based in Santa Clara, California is a model non-profit organization in support of workers with disabilities. Their mission is to assist individuals with disabilities to gain and sustain employment, in partnership with business and the community." They provide staffing services to business, and is an approved Employment Network under the Ticket To Work program.

U.S. Business
Leadership Network

USBLN is an organization of national affiliates. They are the only national disability organization led by business for business to recognize and promote best practices in hiring, retaining, and marketing to people with disabilities. There are 55 Business Leadership Network affiliates in 32 states, including the District of Columbia, representing more than 5,000 employers across the US.

Warriors To Work

A program of the Wounded Warriors Project,the Warriors to Work program helps individuals recovering from severe injuries received in the line of duty connect with the support and resources they need to build a career in the civilian workforce.

The World Institute on Disability

"The mission of the World Institute on Disability (WID) in communities and nations worldwide is to eliminate barriers to full social integration and increase employment, economic security and health care for persons with disabilities. WID creates innovative programs and tools; conducts research, public education, training and advocacy campaigns; and provides technical assistance."
